not even recovered from my emotions in the aftermath of apocalyptic concert by Neil Young at the Zenith I set foot in one place for Lynyrd Skynyrd. I must say that at the base I was not very hot to go, the price is exorbitant and instead preferring Lynyrd Skynyrd of the big time with Ronnie Van Zant, Allen Collins, Gary Rossington, Steve Gaines, Leon Wilkinson, Billy Powell, Artimus Pyle.

But I changed my mind telling me that finally I like this group, then the opportunity to see them not show up any time soon since the last time the group came was in 2003 at Bercy opening for Deep Purple and that the next death will surely end the group's activity.

So around 17:30, I stand before the Zenith in a line composed mostly of old Confederate flags Hardos and long beards, recalling memories of the good old days. At 18:30, the doors opened and I rushed inside while enjoying the transition to buy a T-shirt (as sober as possible, without Confederate flag or eagle on it) then I go into the room and instead of me right side of the stage.
I cast a glance toward the stands and I note with amazement that Lynyrd soldiery were not out, places the highest bleachers are hidden by large curtains and bleachers closest to the stage are covered with large paintings. But the pit is filled quickly and that could be sold to step too.

Having come alone, I can start the conversation with a couple about their fifties who was present the night before to Neil Young, and two youths with whom I exchanged my coordinates.
The first part shows up to 20h, a French guitar duo singing and playing a bit in the spirit of Eddie Vedder, wait for cool but not extraordinary.

A 21 H is with "Thunderstruck" AC / DC in the background that the group made its debut, Johnny Van Zant gimmick echoing the famous "Thunder Aaah! " for a few seconds to make room for the riff Workin for MCA . Here is what I feared has happened a bit, the sound is very hard or impossible to hear when it will make better solo but significantly from the third song.
is a Lynyrd Skynyrd without artifice that comes apart a curtain with Lynyrd Skynyrd wrote God & Guns World Tour.
If the public is a little soft on the first titles on Simple Man he sang in chorus with Johnny Van Zant (surely the finest moment of the evening).
The group itself is very good, there is the mischievous Rickey Medlocke the position once occupied by Allen Collins sharing most of the solos with Mark Matejka . Gary Rossington only member of the original training wanders on stage like a zombie but still provides very good after all the hardships he has experienced is a bit of her soul and the only group Member bit explain the legitimacy of this new formation. As
Johnny Van Zant is the frontman and driving force of this group, never missing a moment to tickle his cronies. I note in passing that the replacement of dead Andy Powell Ean Evans and were very well integrated into the group.

The group connects so the classics one after the other Saturday Night Special, Gimme Three Steps , Call Me The Breeze , That Smell (can be my favorite track from Lynyrd Skynyrd), What's your name? , Whyskey Rock A Roller .
I waited a little note from Johnny Van Zant about the Neil Young concert the day before during Sweet Home Alabama but it was not the case, a Sweet Home in the heart taken by Zenith finally conquered.
The group then left the stage to return with the indestructible and indispensable Free Bird, classic essential for some, masturbatory guitar game for others but we must confess that it is an ideal piece to finish a concert and the sensations it provides are rather enjoyable.

In the end we got together at 1:30, it is somewhat true, but 1:30 is better than classical concerts interspersed 2:30 filling. I would not make a comparison with the concert on the eve Loner, but I feel I have been a very good concert with musicians and pro deconnor where the old Neil has shown full of charisma and transcendent despite some obvious flaws.
