I've rarely been disappointed Blues concerts I saw at the New Morning, the intimate atmosphere prevailing there perfectly suited to this music. Only drawback encountered each time the first games too long and concerts ending too late. This concert will deviate from the rule because no first party is planned.
The room is not full compared to what I have seen in the past which explains in part why I think the artist is so rare in the capital for several years. But no matter, and even better as it enhances the look intimate and it does not prevent the public from communion with the musicians ... the contrary.
Jimmie Vaughan and his band returned on stage after being announced by a roadie, still same old quickdraw bluesrockeurs Texan, even bananas and always this same stratum beige. A little slow to start the first part of the concert is partly composed of covers of great blues standard. I can not say I'm a fan of Lou Ann Barton , I tend to find that the voice of white blues are a little too uniform and no singers not really stand out. Lou Ann Barton has a little voice but it's quite nice especially Her duo with Jimmie Vaughan is worth a visit.
This second half of the concert put forward the compounds of the latest album of Vaughan (the first since 2001) Play Blues, Ballads & Favorites I would identify two compounds also really enjoyable "I Miss You So " and " Roll, Roll, Roll .
