Beholder Stacks Dragon Blood

Paul McCartney Paris Bercy 10/12/2009

Last Bercy his career in the words of some, this single date French tour "Good Evening Europe" flirted with a sweet fragrance of nostalgia. Revisiting the repertoire of Beatles, Wings and his solo career in a concert near 3:00.

With an hour behind and in front of an impatient crowd that Paul McCartney enter the picture. "Magical Mystery Tour" and "Drive My Car" then open the celebrations before an audience of Bercy chanting "Roll Up" and "Beep Beep Beep Yeah Beep'm" as one man. He follows one of Macca hello to the public in French "Bonsoir Paris ... goodnight my little cabbage ! " in an almost perfect French. An effort is rare enough to be underlined by a non-French artist. Apparently the language barrier does not seem to be an obstacle for Sir Paul.

A Paul McCartney always accompanied by the eternal Paul "Wicks" Wickens (Keyboards), Brian Ray and Rusty Anderson (guitars) and Abe Laboriel Jr. titanic (drums).

A great band that allows him to revive the classic Beatles, Wings and his solo career. But also a group with which he makes a vivid homage to people and artists he rub his long career. Starting with Jimi Hendrix which Macca salute through a Early resumption of the famous instrumental Foxy Lady.
He will multiply the tributes throughout the concert to include the two Beatles that are no longer of this world to know John Lennon ( Here Today ) and George Harrison ( Something ).

The concert continues ... Macca alternating songs on the piano " The Long and Winding Road ", " My Love" or the acoustics resulting in the superb interpretation of ballads such as "Michelle " (played exclusively for the Parisian public) and more catchy titles "Mrs. Vandebilt " , " Dance Tonight."

Among the avalanche of titles is hard to tell when was the highlight of the show as each song delivering a lot of emotions. For my part I have a special affection for "Band on the Run " and its many changes of mood. And the deafening fireworks offered " Live And Let Die."

But where the show really takes its universal dimension is the directory with the Beatles. Cohesion between artist and audience is total and titles like "A Day In The Life" and "Hey Jude " confirms this impression. The surprise of this European tour is the small revolution in the setlist with the inclusion of " Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da ", title ever played throughout the career of Sir Paul and whose appearance rhyme original version fades here to take a festive dimension.

is also a directory with 100% that macca Fab Four will complete the concert during two intense reminders. The occasion for Paul to emphasize the sound one last time to commune alone with the public on "Yesterday " before moving on with the fury of "Helter Skelter .
But with the medley " Sergeant Pepper's (reprise) / The End " that the story ends followed by a deluge of confetti. Last

hello to the public, Macca misses little to do éborgner by a guy who swings his vinyl on stage in hopes of having it signed.
Moments later, Paul and his group finally left the stage, the lights come back on the Bercy ... it is time to return to reality.
